Domaine la Bohème
Lulu - 2018 - Patrick Bouju
A beautiful cuvée for purists, with a nose of cherry stones, spices, and animal notes... On the palate: this is smooth and velvety juice, pure and deep, very fruit forward, with good concentration, and great length... Mellow tannins provide just enough structure. Worth decanting.

100% Gamay, from vines over 80 years old, farmed organically and planted in the commune of Corent, on basaltic / volcanic soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the yields are tightly controlled. Vinification of whole bunches, with semi-carbonic fermentation, gentle pressing, and maturation in barrels that have seen several wines. Neither fined, nor filtered, and zero sulphur – as always with Patrick's wines.

Sincerity, kindness, generosity, modesty… There’s nothing you would want to change about him! He unites, brings people together and doesn’t hesitate to share advice. Patrick has vines spread out around several communes,...
