A floral and fruity nose, with notes of black fruit compote. The palate is silky, soft and fluid, with light tannins that provide just enough structure. Very lovely length on the palate, and a fruity finish with a hint of leather. Worth decanting.

100% Gamay, from vines over 80 years old, farmed organically and planted in the commune of Corent, on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the yields are tightly controlled. Vinification of whole bunches, with semi-carbonic fermentation, gentle pressing, and maturation in barrels that have seen several wines. Neither fined, nor filtered, and zero sulphur – as always with Patrick's wines.
