Burgundy
A nose with notes of red fruits and redcurrants, with hints of spice and leather. The palate boasts remarkable length and elegance, a beautifully harmonious expression of this grape variety. A supple and gentle wine that expresses its terroir.
A 100% Pinot Noir cuvée from old vines farmed organically and planted on three parcels in the commune of Comblanchien, at the bottom of the slope and just below it, on a vein of very soft white limestone soils. There is natural grassing between the vines and the grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification: the grapes are destemmed, followed by two weeks of maceration, gentle pressing, and transfer by gravity into barrels (25% new oak) for 12 months of maturation then an additional five months in vats. Bottled in February 2021.
