This cuvée is named L'Intrus (the intruder, in English)... because the grapes were bought outside of Burgundy! 100% Syrah from organically farmed vines, planted in 1975 in Valréas (Southern Rhône), at 400 meters of altitude. Harvested manually, and the vinification took place at Chanterêves estate in Burgundy. Whole bunches maceration, light foot-crushing, indigenous yeasts of course, light pressing in order to preserve the fruit. One year of aging in wooden vats, unfined, unfiltered, absolutely no sulfites through the whole process.

As a couple both in life and in the vineyard, they established their Maison de vins in 2011, an haute-couture négoce based in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
