Savigny lès Beaune 1er Cru "La Dominode" - 2008 - Bruno Clair

Domaine Bruno Clair

A pure and elegant nose, still dense, carried by notes of red fruits, white truffle, touch of leather. Round and powerful mouth, monumental length. A magnificent bottle, in the pure style of Savigny.

100% Pinot Noir from an exceptional parcel of old Pinot Noir vines – nearly 120 years! – planted in 1902. This Premier Cru is situated at an altitude of 250 metres facing east/northeast. The 1.14-ha parcel is situated on a steep slope, with a clay soil that is kept aerated by its sand content, which gives the wine a lovely supple character. The vines are cultivated sustainably, the grapes harvested by hand, and the yields kept under control. Vinification: 50% whole grape bunches, 18 days of maceration in wooden vats, and 20 months of maturation in barrels, with about 40% new oak.
