An Extra Brut Champagne blended from the region’s 3 main grape varietals: 5% Pinot Noir, 90% Pinot Meunier and 5% Chardonnay. From parcels grown on loam and marl-limestone soils. The 8-ha estate has been farmed biodynamically since 1988. No chemical fertilisers, no herbicides, 60-year-old vines, grapes vinified primarily in vats, with 5% in barrels. Aged 9 years in stacks! Disgorged in February 2016.
Françoise Bedel, with her son Vincent, cultivates 8 hectares of vines in Crouttes-sur-Marne. An estate devoted to the philosophy of Saint-Exupéry: “ We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”.
