A rosé, yes, but... a top-shelf one, created by Corsica’s enfant terrible Yves Canarelli. A bouquet with notes of small red fruits, thyme, flowers, pepper... Palate: fruity and balanced.

Blend: Sciacarellu, Grenache and Nielluccio. Vines facing northwest and south, on a windswept, clay-limestone terroir. The estate has been certified organic by ECOCERT since 2002, with the vines farmed biodynamically since 2006. The yield for this cuvée was 40 hl/ha. As for vinification: green harvesting, hand picking, sorting tables, 100% destemming of grapes, direct pressing, indigenous yeasts... Neither fined nor filtered. Matured 6 months in vats.
Yves Canarelli took over his grandfather’s vines in 1993. In 20 years, he has shifted his viticulture over to biodynamics, and reintroduced ancient grape varietals like Cargaghjolu Nero, which nearly went extinct in the 1960s.
