Louis-Antoine, a Breton from across the world who settled in Chili in 2006, brings us his Pilen Alto, a wine made exclusively from the Paísgrape (also known as Mission)… from220-year-old vines! A wine produced in the region of Biobio. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a carbonic maceration, and maturation in barrels.
Louis-Antoine Luyt was born in the Breton coastal city of Malouin some forty years ago. Following a handful of formative viticultural experiences alongside the likes of Philippe Pacalet and Marcel Lapierre, he finally moved to Chili, and settled in Cauquenès, a province in the region of Maule, 400 km south of Santiago de Chile.
