Wildman Blanc - 2020 - Anton Von Klopper
A nose of exotic fruit, with notes of blood orange, cinnamon, and a hint of smoke. Palate: this is serious wine, sure to get your friends talking, yet fresh and eminently drinkable, balanced by fine tannins. A very, very lovely cuvée for the initiated.

Blend: 95% Sauvignon Blanc from vines farmed biodynamically and planted on sandy soils on top of a hill with a strong maritime breeze, and 5% Pedro Ximenez planted on alluvial sands and yellow clay in the Barossa Valley northeast of Adelaide. Vinification: both varieties are left as whole bunches, and are placed in 2,400-litre barrels for carbonic fermentation and maceration on their skins for four months. The grapes are pressed during the winter, and bottled without fining or filtration, or any added sulphites.
