Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato "Teresa" - 2019 - Nadia Verrua
A very interesting, very original cuvée, ultra aromatic, with note of flowers, black fruit, blackberry, and damson plums... Palate: silky and perfumed, with great freshness and bitter notes, and a hint of liquorice on the finish... Truly original, a great discovery.

A 100% Ruché cuvée, made from massal selection vines planted in 2001, and farmed organically. Ruché, a grape variety of Burgundian origins, has all but disappeared: barely 100 ha remain in the Piedmont region. The grapes are handpicked with small crates with sorting in the vineyard and controlled yields. Vinification: fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, gentle pressing, and maturation in Slovenian oak barrels. A blend of the 2019 and 2020 vintages. Zero sulphur!
