Jura
Nose: aromas of dried fruit, white flowers, and subtle oxidative notes after aeration. Palate: with lively, fine bubbles, and aromas of hazelnut and brioche, this is a perfectly balanced sparkling wine, with a long, saline finish.
Chardonnay from a selection of young vines grown organically, planted on several parcels with predominantly clay-limestone soil. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by direct pressing, fermentation in vats, then maturation in barrels that have seen several wines. This is a traditional method sparkling wine, with zero dosage, bottled and aged in stacks for 24 months at the estate. Sulphites used only sparingly.
Marin Fumey, a young purebred Jura winegrower, has always bathed in Vin Jaune! His parents Adeline and Raphaël founded the estate in 1986 with only 56 acres of vines.
