Domaine François Rousset Martin
Veine Bleue de Bacchus - 2018 - François Rousset Martin
A topped-up cuvée so the style here is non-oxydative, with notes of candied pears and citrus, honey and a buttery touch. Palate: rich, concentrated, balanced, the length is incredible. Worth decanting.

Savagnin farmed organically and planted in 1976 on a very venerable terroir, named after one of the plots in Château Chalon that has limestone soils with grey and blue marls, South-East exposure. Vinification: direct pressing, fermentations in 500 and 600 liters wooden vats, aged and topped-up for 22 months, then two months sous-voile to give it a slightly oxydative touch. Unfiltered, unfined, bottled at the Estate without sulphur!
