Domaine Pierre Olivier Bonhomme
L'Ormeau des Deux Croix Macération - 2018 - Pierre Olivier Bonhomme
A nose with notes of roasted apricot, pear compote, and bergamot... Palate: quite approachable for an orange wine, there is not the tannic side that you sometimes find with this type of winemaking. Beautiful freshness, and just the right amount of substance. A huge success.

This cuvée bears the name of a vineyard parcel, which is located in Monthou-sur-Bièvre. 100% Chenin, from vines farmed organically and planted on clay-limestone soils, and harvested by hand. Vinification: a short maceration of whole grape bunches, gentle pressing, transfer to barrels that have seen several wines for fermentation and 12 months of maturation. A microdose of sulphur during racking to protect the wine, three weeks before bottling at the estate.
