A nose of raspberries and ground pepper... Tasting superb from the barrel, it will surely become closed for a time after bottling – will benefit from cellaring... The palate is concentrated, with a spicy finish – a superb wine.
A single variety cuvée, from grapes grown on a soil of flinty clay over white flinty chalk known as craie de Blois. The vines are around 40 years old. Viticulture and vinification are 100% natural. Yields are around 40 hl/ha. Matured 6 months in demi-muid and Burgundy barrels. Very little sulphur.
