Hervé Villemade

Rosé - 2019 - Hervé Villemade

A nose of red fruits – it’s a veritable strawberry sorbet! Palate: like a little piece a fragrant candy without any heaviness, it’s fluid and smooth. Hervé says: “An ideal rosé for spring and summer, so fresh and fruity you can drink it without counting!”

A blended cuvée: 50% Pineau d'Aunis, 25% Gamay and 25% Côt from farmed organically and planted in the Cher Valley. The grapes were purchased from winegrowers who share a common philosophy, and handpicked using small boxes. Vinification: direct pressing, fermentation with indigenous yeasts (of course), and 7 months of maturation in vats. Bottled without fining or filtration in March 2020, with just a microdose of sulphur.
