Domaine Ludovic Chanson

Sans Pagne - 2018 - Ludovic Chanson

Nose with notes of white fruits, in-your-face minerality, a floral touch. Palate: an elegant sparkling wine, with a slightly bitter finish, the name of this cuvée is obviously a reference to Champagne!

A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Chenin from vines planted in the area of Montlouis-sur-Loire and grown organically, the whole estate is certified by Ecocert. The two grape varieties are harvested separately, blended 15 days after pressing, the malolactic fermentation is completed. Bottled in March 2019 with residual sugars for the refermentation, 15 months of aging on laths, disgorged in June 2020. A cuvée "sans pagne" (without loincloth), which means it is a naked wine! Just a little pinch of sulphur at bottling.
