Sulphites-free wine

Rhône Valley

Austral - 2021 - Thomas Jullien

La Ferme Saint Martin

A nose of roasted apricot and beeswax, with subtle vegetal notes. Palate: power, voluptuousness, and beautiful tannic structure, this is a wine for gastronomy. Worth decanting.

A blend of 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and 5% tutti frutti! From 20- to 40-year-old vines, farmed organically and planted on a Triassic period clay-limestone terroir. The grapes are handpicked, with yields of 28 to 32 hl/hectare. Vinification: the grapes are destemmed by hand, followed by one week of maceration, and one year of maturation in barrels and demi-muids that have seen several wines. Bottled after a gentle filtration, zero added sulfur.
