A nose with notes of spice, pepper, and violet... Palate: unbelievable texture, there is none of the tannic, even astringent character that you often see with this type of vinification. Enchanting, fruity, splendid juice. A huge favourite for us!

Syrah from a plot of 35-year-old vines planted on a slope of granite and black mica soils, at 350 metres altitude. The vines are farmed naturally using plant-based treatments, and the soil is ploughed by horse. The grapes are harvested by hand, and carefully sorted. Vinification: fermentation and maturation for 1 year in amphorae buried in the vineyard just like in Georgia. No additives, zero sulphites, no filtering, and no fining…. A natural, Georgian interpretation of the appellation.
Paul Estève and Chrystelle Vareille founded Domaine des Miquettes in 2003 in Cheminas, a little village nestled on the plateau above Tournon and Sécheras, in the southern part of the Saint Joseph appellation.
