Miocène - 2016 - Florence et Olivier Leriche
Domaine des Accoles

A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Carignan, from the estate’s oldest vines (65-year-old). The vines are cultivated biodynamically and planted on white, Miocene epoch limestone, which promotes slow ripening. Harvested by hand, the two grape varieties are vinified together, matured one year with 2/3 in old barrels and 1/3 in enamelled steel vats, then blended and stabilised for 6 months in vats, before a final year of maturation 100% in enamelled steel vats. The wine is neither fined nor filtered, and is bottled with a sensible dose of sulphites.
