Rebelle - 2019 - David Reynaud
Domaine Les Bruyères
A nose with notes of black fruit, blueberries... Palate: dense, firm texture, this is some serious juice, concentrated and full bodied, with a jammy finish.

100% Syrah, from 60-year-old vines, farmed biodynamically, grown on stakes using the “échalas” training method, on a plot of very degraded granite with a vein of loamy clay, on a slope facing south/southeast, at 250 metres altitude. Vinification: 100% de-stemmed grapes, gravity-fed, are vinified over 28-32 days with indigenous yeasts, punching down of the cap, and gentle pressing. Followed by 12 months in barrels that have seen several wines, then 12 months in concrete ovoid vats. Filtered and bottled on August 9th 2021 with a small dose of sulphur.

In 2002, he stopped delivering his grapes to the cooperative, which was uninterested in his desire to improve his work methods! Since then, his wines have never ceased to gain in precision and complexity. In 2005, the 20 ha estate was certified...
