Clos du Rouge Gorge
Blanc - 2019 - Cyril Fhal
This is fruity, taut, fresh and intense juice with notes of white fruit and quince... Palate: there’s a lot of gas on opening, best to enjoy this among natural wine purists. The finish is elegant, saline and mineral. Marvellous for cellaring, Cyril’s wines require time and patience.

A blend of 85% Macabeu and 15% Carignan Blanc. The vines are 80 years old planted on gneiss soils. Viticulture and vinification are straightforward and natural; it’s above all about beautiful grapes picked at ideal ripeness. This white wine is matured 8 months in demi-muid barrels. It is unfiltered, instead spending an extra month in vats to be naturally decanted before bottling.
