A nose of black fruits, with aromas of sweet spices and a hint of cocoa. Palate: a wine of great substance, with ripe fruit flavours, fine tannins, well-integrated aromas of wood and ageing, and a long finish without any heaviness. A cuvée crafted for the dinner table, a red for gastronomy.

A blend of 70% Syrah from vines planted in 1990 on grey schist, and 15% Grenache and 15% Carignan planted on the same parcel in 1945. The grapes are farmed organically with controlled yields and harvested by hand. Vinification: the grapes are entirely destemmed, the Syrah macerating and fermenting separately, the Grenache and Carignan together, followed by gentle pressing, one year of maturation in vats and then two years in barrels before blending. Bottled on the estate in April 2020 without fining or filtration, and just a microdose of sulphur.
