Domaine de l'Immortelle

Le P'tit Grain - 2019 - Delphine et Yann Bouvier

A surprising Muscat with a citrus fruit nose, and notes of mandarin and bergamot, evolving to reveal hints of basil. Palate: beautiful substance and volume, a wine of great purity. A standout favourite from our tasting, this very reasonably priced cuvée offers huge pleasure for your money.

100% Muscat Petit Grains from vines planted in 1990 on schist soils and farmed organically. The grapes are handpicked 10 days before their full maturity to preserve their citrus aromas. Yield: 15 hl/hectare. Vinification is natural and done using gravity: 48 hours cold pre-fermentation maceration, gentle pressing, and maturation in vats. Bottled at the estate in early March 2020 without fining or filtration, and just a microdose of sulphur.
