Château Lestignac

Les Brumes - 2018 - Camille et Mathias Marquet

A luscious nose of white fruits and beeswax. Palate: mouthwatering, sharp, with very lovely acidity that really helps to energise the residual sugars. As Camille and Mathias put it, it’s a sweet white wine "for those who don’t like sweet white wines"!

A blend of Ugni Blanc, Petit Manseng and Sémillon, from vines farmed organically. The Petit Mansengs come from the Domaine du Petit Moura, planted on decarbonated clay, 350 metres above sea level. Vinification: carbonic maceration for 2 weeks, and direct pressing for the Ugni Blanc and Sémillon. The three grape varieties are blended, then matured in concrete tanks. Zero sulphur. With 30 grams of residual sugar, this is a moelleux or sweet wine. Local originality: the bottling is done at 42°C, which creates a vacuum effect when it cools down.
