François de Nicolay, child of the ‘70 vintage and head of Domaine Chandon de Briailles, today embodies the renewal of this historic estate, straddling the line between modernity and respect for tradition. A family property since 1834, located four kilometres north of Beaune, the estate extends over 13.7 ha in the communes of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. After graduating from business school and several experiences in Europe, the United States and Hong Kong, François began a gradual return to the family business. He’d then open a wine shop in Paris, distributing the wines from his family’s estate and other great Burgundian names. The arrival of François and his sister Claude at Chandon de Briailles has injected new life into the estate, as the complementary duo seek to reveal the particularity of each of their climats, vintage after vintage.

A perfume-like nose, with notes of red and black berries: cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, a hint of undergrowth... Palate: fluid, smooth and balanced, with acidity and tannins that promise very interesting ageing potential... A wine to (re)discover now or in 10 years time!
Sulphites-free wine
A very fresh nose carried by notes of orchard fruits: yellow apple, pear jelly, nectarine... The second nose is more complex: inshell almond, a hint of smoke, candied lemon. Palate: lively attack, mineral backbone, nice volume, long finish on fine bitters.

Very floral nose carried by notes of rose and iris, the second nose is marked by red fruits (raspberry, red currant...). Fresh palate, beautiful finesse, without fuss! Perfect for the beautiful days, as it's written on the label! Les Beaux Jours means The Beautiful Days.

A complex and very elegant nose with notes of flowers and sweet spice: rose buds, peony, Sichuan pepper... The palate presents a lovely contrast with beautiful minerality and fine tannins. Pure pleasure!

A powerful, complex and aromatic nose carried by notes of white flowers, citrus fruits, pear... Chiseled and precise on the palate, beautiful mineral expression. Lots of volume, long finish. Worth decanting.
