Josephine - 2021 - Stéphanie et Eduard Tscheppe-Eselböck
Nose of Morello cherry, spices, hint of smoke... Sunny, warm, almost jammy palate, perfectly balanced by the freshness of the terroir. Very beautiful aging potential. Taste it while listening to "Osez Joséphine" by Baschung!

A blend of Roesler, a resistant variety that is found since the 1960s almost exclusively in Burgenland, with a little Blaufränkisch; from about 30-year-old vines grown organically (certified by Demeter) and planted on limestone soils. Manual harvest. Vinification: partly destememd, partly whole bunches, partly direct pressed, aging for 18 months in 3000-liter Austrian oak cask that have seen several wines. Bottled at the estate in March 2023 without fining or filtration, without added sulfites.
