Mélo - 2022 - Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Domaine Saint-Cyr
This "blouge" contraction of blanc (white) and rouge (red), is therefore an explosive blend of white and red grape varieties, with a nose carried by notes of redcurrant and raspberry. Palate: so fruity, a fluid and refreshing juice with very fine tannins, subtly acidic finish. We love it.

1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Gamay and 1/3 Chardonnay, from 40-year-old vines grown organically and planted on clay-limestone soils. Manual harvest. Vinification: the whole bunches are placed in the vat, alternating the three grape varieties. Carbonic maceration for 15 days, gentle pressing in a vertical wooden press. 6 months of aging, for 20% in barrels that have seen several wines and for 80% in concrete vats. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur.

Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Raphaël Saint-Cyr is at the head of Domaine Saint-Cyr, located in Anse in Beaujolais. The history of the family estate dates back to 1949, when Pierre Saint-Cyr, Raphaël's great-grandfather, settled on this small farm. How far they’ve come over the generations! The estate has now 23 hectares of vines in the Beaujolais, Chénas, Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent appellations. Respectful cultural...
