Tavkveri Rosé - 2018 - John Okruashvili
A very fruity nose carried by notes of tart strawberry, some rose, almost candy-like... A light juice with nevertheless a serious frame thanks to the prolonged aging. A very exotic wine!

100% Tavkveri, from vines that have never been touched by chemicals, planted in the famous wine region of Kakheti, in eastern Georgia. Harvested by hand, of course. This cuvée is actually vinified by Jane, John's sister, in their winery located in the commune of Signaghi. Grapes in whole bunches are directly pressed then aged for almost two years qvevris – large terracotta jars buried up to their necks in the ground – keeping with traditional Georgian methods. Bottled on the 21st of July 2020 without filtration or fining, and zero sulphur.
