Le Mont des Clochettes - 2018 - Jérôme François
La Grange de L'oncle Charles
Hyper charming nose carried by notes of blood orange, rose, candied apricot... We are halfway between an orange wine and a very light red, the tannin is perfectly integrated and brings structure to the powerful aromatic of this cuvée.

Blend of 60% Pinot Gris, 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Gewurztraminer from 40-year-old vines grown biodynamically and planted on a sandstone terroir. The three grape varieties are harvested manually on the same date, then macerate together for 10 days in whole bunches. Pressing, one year of aging in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled at the Estate without fining, filtration or added sulphites.

JÉRÔME FRANÇOIS
Jérôme François settled in Ostheim in 2014. The young carpenter couldn’t resist the call of the vine and started his estate with a few plots from his grandfather and the barn of his great uncle! Late 2017, Jérôme teamed up with Yann Bury. The guys work their vines biodynamically, and work the soil not with a tractor but with two horses, Sirus and Fastochex. A flock of black Ouessant sheep...
