Philippe Viret is the winemaker behind the legendary Domaine Viret, located in the Rhône Valley in the Southern Drôme area. Philippe and his father Alain have created a paradise for vines, which is hardly surprising when you consider that the area was called "Paradise Hills" in Roman times! Everything here is exceptional: a cathedral cellar, built according to the geometry of the golden ratio, inspired by Mayan and Incan traditions. A veritable temple dedicated to wine... a dream come true! Domaine Viret is best known as the originator of a unique growing method: Cosmoculture. While Cosmoculture is similar to biodynamic viticulture in some respects, it is a philosophy in its own right, based on a bioenergetic approach to viticulture. The aim is, of course, to produce as naturally as possible, but also to balance the ecosystem surrounding the vine. Vibrant, racy wines that reflect the energy of the place. Sulphites-free wine
Candied black fruits, dried herbs from the garrigue, cigar box. Southern mouthfeel, ample, crazy texture, the tannins support the tertiary aromas, yet the whole is fresh and subtle, a memorable experience at a reasonable price... a cuvée that lives up to its name! Decanting is mandatory.
Minimal sulphites
An orange sparkling wine that takes us off the beaten track... Citrus, mineral and floral notes on the nose. It combines the freshness of the effervescence with the depth and tannin from the maceration. A beautiful surprising cuvée.

An atypical sparkling red wine, with notes of blackberry and soft spices. Clean on the palate, without sweetness, the abundant bubbles reveal a light tannin on the finish. A lovely discovery.

Nose of blackberry, blueberry, morello cherry, prune, hint of violet... Pure, deep, sappy palate, both concentrated and fresh. Worth decanting.
