Ludovic Archer, child of the 1983 vintage, has been at the helm of his eponymous estate since 2019, with 5 hectares of organic vineyards between Chignin and Arbin. But let's go back in time... Originally from the Ain region, Ludovic grew up close to the mountains and has been living in this Savoie valley since 2003. Ludovic initially trained as a mechanical engineer and worked in industry. But at the same time, the vineyards weren't that far away... and above all, he had a handful of good friends who were oenologists and winegrowers who “infected” him with a love of wine! The idea of starting his own business began to take hold, and so he embarked on a wonderful career change! After completing a BTS in viticulture and oenology in Beaune, and learning at Jean-François Quénard's organic estate in Chignin, Ludovic took the plunge. His first vintage was in 2019, immediately producing serious wines, (hence his cuvée Giant Steps!). He likes clean and complex wines that express themselves without embellishment. Bravo!

“All the freshness of a grape variety capable of reaching great heights,” says Ludovic! Very fresh and delicate nose with notes of lemon, citrus zest, flint, and white-fleshed fruits. Tense and precise on the palate, this wine is playing in the big leagues. Long and salty finish.

Magnificent balance of pear, white flowers, honey, butter... Lively and salty on the palate, beautifully rounded by aging, the palate is both generous and mineral. A cuvée crafted for fine dining, perfect with poultry. Decanting recommended in its youth.

A clean nose of morello cherry, cranberry, plum, and chalk... The palate is delicately tart, dense, invigorating, and deep, with a fine texture. Still young at this stage, but with excellent aging potential. A cuvée crafted for food pairings.

Confidential and unique, with notes of morello cherry, strawberry, coffee, sweet spices, leather, subtle animal notes, smoke, and sap. Full-bodied on the palate, with powerful aromatics and fine tannins, pulpy, very nice complexity, and a long finish. The perfect remedy for bad weather.
