A pure, beautifully perfumed nose built around pear, candied pear, pear yoghurt, with a stony touch… you’ll want to dive right in! A very dry, mouthwatering and mineral wine, with a superb texture. The palate is simply incredible, with insanely long aromatics. A real favorite!
Laurent Fondimare & Wilfrid Debroize
Laurent Fondimare and Wilfrid Debroize are the duo behind Domaine des Rutissons, based in Saint-Vincent-de-Mercuze in the Grésivaudan Valley (the Grenoble valley) in Savoie. Laurent, an agricultural engineer originally from Normandy, took over the estate in 2010 when it was still a polycultural farm with livestock; he shifted its focus entirely to viticulture and began by taking over a few plots of old vines. Today the domaine covers 7.5 hectares — quite a journey! Wilfrid, a local to the region, changed paths after an initial career in construction. He first arrived at Les Rutissons as an intern in 2012 and joined Laurent as a partner in 2015. Together, they have replanted native grape varieties such as Verdesse, Persan and Etraire de la Dhui… varieties still little known today, and for good reason: they had almost disappeared. Everything is organically farmed with biodynamic practices. Laurent and Wilfrid are bringing this singular terroir back into the spotlight — much to our delight, letting us taste the mountains in the glass!
