Metamorphika Ancestral Violeta - 2018 - Joan Franquet
Costador Terroir Mediterranis
A red pet-nat! This is soooo good! An almost violet robe, a nose with notes of red and black fruits and garrigue, and an abundance of fine bubbles, this is a fresh, vinous sparkling wine with a few grams of residual sugar. It goes down by itself!

A natural sparkling wine. A blend of Grenache, Carignan, Sumoll Negre and Trepat, from old vines farmed organically, and pruned using the goblet technique. The grapes are harvested by hand with controlled yields. Part of the grapes are fermented in whole cluster in order to create this purple colour, structure and complexity. The effervescence is created naturally in the bottle using the méthode ancestrale technique, in which the wine is bottled before the end of the alcoholic fermentation. Neither fined nor filtered, and zero added sulphur.
Joan Franquet is originally from Priorat, very close to Barcelona. Being an olive oil producer from generation to generation, he started working with his father at a very young age on the family farm. But more than the olives, it is the vine and the wine that fascinates Joan. On each of his trips, all over the globe, he loves to visit wine estates and cellars... In 2009, he took a closer...All wines
