Metamorphika Sumoll Negre - 2020 - Joan Franquet
Costador Terroir Mediterranis
A nose of red fruits, plums, and violet... The palate is balanced, with lots of body and noticeable tannins that will see this bottle heading straight to the adult table. On top of that, the wine is extremely drinkable thanks to its lovely acidity.

100% Sumoll Noir, a variety that had practically disappeared due to the replanting of more commercial grape varieties. From 100-year-old vines, cultivated biodynamically and planted in the region of Tarragona, in the Conca de Barbera appellation, and harvested by hand. Maceration, fermentation and then five months of maturation, all in amphorae. Bottled without fining or filtration, and zero added sulphur.

Joan Franquet
Joan Franquet is originally from Priorat, very close to Barcelona. Being an olive oil producer from generation to generation, he started working with his father at a very young age on the family farm. But more than the olives, it is the vine and the wine that fascinates Joan. On each of his trips, all over the globe, he loves to visit wine estates and cellars... In 2009, he took a closer...
