Rkatsiteli Bodbiskhevi - 2022 - Pheasant's Tears
Gela Patalishvili
An intense and generous white wine, bursting with notes of apricot, limoncello, almond shell, and a bouquet of white flowers. A perfect introduction to Georgian wines — the palate is fine, saline, and beautifully vibrant.

100% Rkatsiteli from vines that have never known chemicals, planted on a small plot in Bodbiskhevi, in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. An untraditional winemaking approach for the country, as this is a white wine: hand-harvested, direct pressing, and natural vinification in qvevris (traditional Georgian clay amphorae lined with beeswax and buried in the ground). Aged for 18 months, bottled on April 24th, 2024. Unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulphur.
All of Pheasant’s Tears wines are imported into France by SARL Clos du Tue-Bœuf.
