Superb aromas of ripe pear, lemon, honey, dried fruit... Palate: lovely volume balanced by just the right amount of tension, long, mineral finish. Off the beaten track, but still an easy approach to Georgian wine.
100% Rkatsiteli from organic vines planted in the Kakhetia region of Eastern Georgia. Harvested by hand, the vinification process is unusual for the country: direct pressing rather than a maceration, which is quite rare in Georgia. Aged in qvevris (these amphorare buried in the cellar) for 5 months. Bottled in Georgia on the 24th of January 2023, without fining or filtration, with no added sulfites.
