Cru-Elles - 2020 - Ludovic Engelvin
Domaine Ludovic Engelvin
A nose with notes of small red berries and blood orange. A fruity palate with density and luscious character. A sun-filled juice to share with friends over an outdoor meal of Mediterranean cuisine. An awfully delicious wine that will express itself best if allowed to breathe for an hour.

With 60% Grenache Noir and 40% Syrah, this is the traditional blend that we find again with the 2020 vintage! The vines are farmed organically and planted on limestone soils. Separated vinification of the two grape varieties: a short maceration in whole bunches (traditional, no carbonic), followed by gentle extraction, blend at the end of the fermentation, and maturation in vats. The wine was bottled in late Spring 2021 with a microdose of sulphur. Neither fined nor filtered.
