A blended cuvée: 50% Carignan, 10% Grenache and 40% Syrah, from 30- to 60-year-old vines, grown on schist soils. Didier’s green capital is entirely managed by his cows, the winegrower’s other great passion, and chemicals haven’t touched his vines for more than 30 years. The estate is certified organic and biodynamic. Yields are around 30 hl/ha. Vinification: an old vertical press is used, followed by maceration for 3 to 4 weeks, and maturation for 2 years in barrels, with 10% new oak. Only a microdose of sulphur at bottling.

Didier Barral, natural vigneron, became the 13th generation of his family in 1990 to farm his family estate in the hamlet of Lenthéric in the Languedoc. From the beginning of his career he was sensitive to biodynamics and biodiversity in general. But his estate is vast – 35 hectares – so Didier had to find solutions to be able to naturally fertilise his soil, manage weeds and grasses, etc. So...
