La Bégou - 2020 - Maxime Magnon - Magnum
Domaine Maxime Magnon
An exuberant Grenache, fruity and ultra floral... Palate: very fragrant juice, balanced, with lovely tension, and a saline finish. A wine at once powerful and complex.

A blend of 60% Grenache Gris and 40% Grenache Blanc from vines grown organically and worked entirely by hand and crawler-tractor, planted on schist and clay-limestone soils, at the heart of the Hautes Corbières, at 200 metres altitude, in the communes of Villeneuve-les-Corbières, Durban and Cascastel. Grapes are harvested by hand, with small crates. Vinification: direct pressing, fermentation and maturation in barrels that have seen several wines for about 10 months, bottled at the Estate with a micro-dose of sulphur.

But before that, Maxime studied and trained at length alongside many of the greats: Thierry Allemand, Thierry Valette, Selosse...
