St Jacques - 2022 - Maxime Magnon
Domaine Maxime Magnon
The typicity of Grenache is super present on the nose, with notes of strawberry and raspberry jam, a touch of rose and cranberry. The palate is also very aromatic and fruity, vibrant, low tannins. What a success!

Blend: 80% Grenache Noir, 10% Cinsault and 10% Mourvèdre, from old vines of 40 to 100 years old, grown organically and planted on white marl soils with decomposed limestone. Manual harvest. Vinification: separate maceration of the three grape varieties, for 20 days in whole bunches, in casks. Soft pressing, aging in casks that have seen several wines and blending two months before bottling. Not fined, not filtered, bottled at the beginning of May 2023, just a tiny tiny dose of sulphur.

But before that, Maxime studied and trained at length alongside many of the greats: Thierry Allemand, Thierry Valette, Selosse...
