Amber color. A silky profile, fruity notes, hazelnut, walnut. The palate is rich, unctuous and elegant. Long finish. Tawnies are the Ports for aperitif, and will also be the ideal companion for your cheese platter.
Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca predominate among the traditional grape varieties of the Douro Valley Controlled Appellation. A blend vinified by pumping over in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The wines are aged for an average of seven years in old oak barrels, before being blended. Already filtered, drink between 9 and 14°C. Consume within 3 months after opening, and keep refrigerated.
