This brown rum is full-bodied and smooth, with notes of apricot, cinnamon, and vanilla, and a soft, balanced finish. On the palate, it strikes the perfect balance between freshness—thanks to its short aging period—and intensity—thanks to the new oak.

Made from the crushing, fermentation, and distillation of pure Guadeloupe sugarcane juice. Aged for 6 months in American oak barrels and casks.
Papillon is the new range of agricultural rums from the Longueteau Distillery, one of Guadeloupe’s oldest family-owned businesses, founded in 1895 and renowned for its artisanal expertise and the quality of its rums. Today, it comprises nearly 100 hectares consisting of 12 sugarcane fields, 3 wine cellars, and the distillery. Inspired by the island’s butterfly-shaped silhouette (Papillon means butterfly in French), this collection showcases the richness of Guadeloupe’s terroirs through a blend of several sugarcane varieties and meticulous aging processes, sometimes venturing off the beaten path. Crafted with the same high standards as the Longueteau cuvées, Papillon rums offer a generous, authentic, and approachable style, ideal for discovering the full expression of Guadeloupean agricultural rum.
