A powerful, pleasant, and rich nose, with notes of orange zest, vanilla, and spices... The palate is equally rich and luscious, in harmony with the nose. Aging in new oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels adds a lovely spicy and woody touch. Best enjoyed neat, as a digestif.

Milling, fermentation, and distillation of pure sugarcane juice, aged for 3 years in American oak barrels: new oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels.
Papillon is the new range of agricultural rums from the Longueteau Distillery, one of Guadeloupe’s oldest family-owned businesses, founded in 1895 and renowned for its artisanal expertise and the quality of its rums. Today, it comprises nearly 100 hectares consisting of 12 sugarcane fields, 3 wine cellars, and the distillery. Inspired by the island’s butterfly-shaped silhouette (Papillon means butterfly in French), this collection showcases the richness of Guadeloupe’s terroirs through a blend of several sugarcane varieties and meticulous aging processes, sometimes venturing off the beaten path. Crafted with the same high standards as the Longueteau cuvées, Papillon rums offer a generous, authentic, and approachable style, ideal for discovering the full expression of Guadeloupean agricultural rum.
