Ginger and Yarrow - Henri Marie

Henri Marie beverages were born in 2024. However, their origins date back much further: you have to delve into Brother Henri-Marie's recipe book to find the first traces of them. A member of the Holy Family community in Belley in the Ain region, Henri-Marie studied botany for over 30 years, focusing particularly on the properties and benefits of the plants around him. In 1905, he developed medicinal liqueurs based on green walnuts, and when he died, he left behind formulas that still inspire us today.
In the 1950s, Robert Rameaux, a local entrepreneur, founded the Distillerie de l'Etoile to manufacture and distribute the recipes of the Brothers of the Holy Family in France. In 2023, Chartreuse opened a new chapter in its history by purchasing the distillery and restoring it to its former glory.
Henri Marie beverages are produced in Belley, ensuring that Henri Marie's legacy lives on through these natural, gourmets cuvés. Today, they are crafted under the supervision of Michelin-starred chef Edouard Loubet, using infusions, decoctions, and macerations of aromatic and medicinal plants.
