The nose is very expressive, vegetal and malty, gradually revealing superb aromas of flowers and ripe fruit (peach, apricot) and developing into brioche, cocoa powder and orange marmalade. Balanced sweetness/bitterness on the palate, it is luscious and supple, confirming the orange aromas already present on the nose. It continues with walnuts and a delicate salty note. Long, herbaceous finish (menthol, chlorophyll), with a persistent hint of salt.

When Sir Alexander Matheson founded the Dalmore distillery in 1839, he set himself an audacious challenge: to create the first 12-year-old whisky, thereby inventing a method that would become the standard for single malt whiskies, where his neighbors and competitors stopped at 6 years of maturation at most. After 9 years in ex-bourbon casks, half of the precious liquid continues its maturation in casks containing 30-year-old oloroso sherry, while the other half remains in bourbon casks. Today, The Dalmore 12-Year-Old is as impressive as ever in its elegance and complexity. Imported into Europe by Stillman Spirits SL, Madrid.
