La Colline du Chêne - 2021 - Jérôme François
La Grange de L'oncle Charles
A luscious and devilishly seductive juice with notes of mango, rose, lychee, candied orange... The palate is powerful, very aromatic, perfectly balanced by a fine acidity. 40 grams of residual sugars / litre.

100% Gewurztraminer from vines managed biodynamically and planted on limestone soils. This is a late harvest, the berries have dried and the sugars are therefore concentrated in the berry of the grape. Manual harvest on November 15th, 2021, direct pressing, one year of aging in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled after a light filtration and just a small dose of sulfur to prevent the sugars from starting to ferment again.

JÉRÔME FRANÇOIS
Jérôme François settled in Ostheim in 2014. The young carpenter couldn’t resist the call of the vine and started his estate with a few plots from his grandfather and the barn of his great uncle! Late 2017, Jérôme teamed up with Yann Bury. The man grows his vines biodynamically, and works the soil not with a tractor but with two horses, Sirus and Fastochex. A flock of black Ouessant sheep...
