Pinot Gris Steiner - 2019 - Jean François Ginglinger
Domaine Jean Ginglinger
Very different from the usual style of Jean-François wines, no less sublime. A mellow wine with 35 grams of residual sugar/liter, held together by phenomenal acidity. Big complexity on exotic fruits, honey, rose. Long and captivating finish.

100% Pinot Gris from 45-year-old vines grown biodynamically, planted on the Grand Cru Steiner on limestone soils. Manual harvests, these are not late harvests but already a high concentration of sugars and therefore a high potential in terms of alcohol. Natural vinification: direct pressing, two and a half years of fermentation and aging in cask, on the lees. Bottled at the estate without fining, filtration or addition of sulfites.
