Riesling - 2020 et 2021 - Jean Dietrich
Domaine Achillée
Nose carried by notes of apple, apricot, preserved lemon, intense mineral backbone... 2020 was a warm, generous and round vintage, while 2021 showed a fresh and tense profile, the blend of these two is therefore perfectly balanced.

100% Riesling, blend of young and old vines grown biodynamically, planted on four different terroirs of gravelly sand, shale, granite and sandstone. Manual harvest and direct pressing. A blend of two vintages, the 2020 is aged in stainless steel vats and the 2021 in casks that have seen several wines. Bottled in the Spring of 2022 with just a micro-dose of sulphur.

Jean Dietrich
Pierre and Jean (as in Maupassant’s novel but better) Dietrich (phew!) are the two brothers at the head of Domaine Achillée in Alsace, which they took over in 2015 following their father Yves. They were already off to a very good start, since the entire estate has been cultivated biodynamically since 2003. 18 hectares preserved from chemicals located in Scherwiller, right between Strasbourg...
