Frantz Saumon is one of those winemakers who are already well established on their terroir, but who actually arrived in the wine world by chance... Originally from Berry, this former forester who worked in Canada gave up everything to devote himself to his passion. This is the 90's... what a long way we have come! At this time, Frantz follows the very famous oenological formation of Amboise. At the occasion of an internship with his teacher Christian Chaussard of the Domaine le Briseau, an influential voice for the natural wine in Loire, he falls in love with these crazy vinifications who give lively and energetic wines. He then moved to Montlouis-sur-Loire, took vines in sharecropping in 2002 and bought his 5.4 hectares of Chenin and Pinot Noir in 2005. In life as in the vineyard, Frantz is the partner of Marie Thibault, with whom he founded the négoce Un Saumon dans la Loire: wines to drink with friends, from their friends harvest, we have come full circle!

Frantz’s legendary cuvée! The name is a reference to Michel Audiard’s 1961 film, bien-sûr... An easy drinking, natural sparkling “pet-nat” wine, very thirst-quenching, notes of dried raspberries, citrus and peony. Palate: this is smooth juice, bristling with tension and freshness.
