Marie Thibault has almost always known, while not having any family ties with wine, if not for the pleasure of hosting friends around a good bottle, that she would like to be a winemaker in the Loire Valley "when she’d be a grown up”... She definitely made it, after a beautiful journey and a clear path in the Loire Valley vineyards. After her degrees in biology and oenology, Marie started her career in winegrowing in 2002, working for the Domaine François Chidaine in Montlouis-sur-Loire. She flies solo from 2004, and in 2010 she bought her 3.5 hectares of old vines of Chenin, Gamay, Côt and Grolleau in Touraine-Azay-le-Rideau appellation. Culture and vinification are organic of course, she is certified in 2014. A beautiful adventure that continues since then alongside Frantz Saumon, her partner in life as in the vineyards, with whom she founded the négoce Un Saumon dans la Loire. In the bottle? Bold wines, of great freshness, with contagious energy... just like the winemaker herself!
